Plain-English definitions for the terminology used across Goal Moments.
- Accumulator (Acca)
- A type of parlay that combines multiple selections across different matches; returns grow exponentially but require all picks to win.
- Anytime goal scorer
- A bet on a player to score at least one goal at any point in the match.
- Asian Handicap
- A spread bet that gives one team a half-goal or whole-goal advantage or disadvantage to level the odds.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money you have set aside for betting, used to determine stake sizes and manage risk.
- Bet builder
- An online tool that lets you create a custom wager by combining different markets from the same match into one bet.
- Bonus
- Additional funds credited to your account, often subject to rollover requirements before withdrawal.
- Both teams to score (BTTS)
- A bet on whether each team will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash out
- A feature allowing you to settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Correct score
- A bet on the exact final score of the match, such as 2-1 or 3-0.
- Double chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes (win, draw, loss) in a single match.
- Draw no bet
- A bet that excludes the draw as an option; if the match ends in a draw, the stake is refunded.
- Enhanced odds
- Similar to an odds boost, but the higher odds are applied to a specific market or event as a marketing offer.
- First goal scorer
- A bet on the player who will score the very first goal of the match.
- Free bet
- A token provided by the sportsbook that can be used to place a bet without risking your own money; any winnings are usually returned minus the free-bet stake.
- Goal scorer bet
- A wager on which player will find the net during the game, either at any time or for a specific occurrence.
- Half-time/Full-time
- A combined bet that requires predicting the result at both half-time and full-time, such as Home/Away.
- In-play betting
- Placing a bet after the match has started, with odds that update as the game unfolds.
- Moneyline
- A bet on which team will win the match, with odds shown as a price for each side.
- Odds boost
- A promotion that increases the payout odds on a selected bet, offering more potential profit.
- Over/Under
- A bet predicting whether the total number of goals scored in a match will be higher or lower than a number set by the sportsbook.
- Parlay
- A single bet that links two or more selections; all choices must win for the parlay to pay out.
- Request a bet
- A service where you ask the sportsbook to set odds on a specific outcome that isn't currently listed.
- Vig
- The commission or fee that the sportsbook builds into the odds, representing the book's guaranteed profit margin.
- Wagering requirement
- The number of times you must bet the bonus amount before it can be turned into withdrawable cash.
